Hemorrhoidectomy is surgery to remove hemorrhoids. To remove the tissue you will be under anesthesia so that you will not feel the pain. Incisions are made in the tissue surrounding the hemorrhoid. The swollen vein inside the hemorrhoid is binded off to prevent bleeding, and the hemorrhoid is removed.
They can occur for the following reasons:
Pregnancy - The enlargement of uterus causes the hemorrhoids, due to pressure in the vein.
Aging - Usually hemorrhoids occur due to aging.
Diarrhea - when it is chronic.
Chronic constipation - straining to move stool puts more pressure on the blood vessels walls.
Sitting - for long periods.
Lifting - especially lifting heavy objects for a longer time.
Anal intercourse - which can cause hemorrhoids.
Obesity - often dietary related, when you are consuming foods without high-fiber diet.
Genetics - some people inherit from their family history to develop hemorrhoids.
